Will naltrexone make me feel high?

Updated over a year ago

No, naltrexone does not produce any kind of "high" or euphoric feeling. Unlike substances like alcohol or opioids that activate the brain's reward pathways, naltrexone works in the opposite way by blocking those effects. It does not alter your mood or make you feel intoxicated. Instead, it’s designed to help reduce the desire to drink or use drugs by removing the reward associated with those substances.
